Week 21

Well, last week was full of ups and downs. We went for the ultrasound on Wed and the tech was less than proficient. We still don't know if this little one is a boy or girl, but what little we were able to see and what our doctor told us the baby is healthy. I am very relieved that the baby is doing well. I did call and log a complaint in hopes that we can get another ultrasound this week as there are many other health issues that the tech didn't tell us about (i.e. how big the baby is, if the placenta and amniotic fluid look good, looking at all four chambers of the heart, etc.). The baby started moving around a lot during service Friday evening for a good 45 minutes and then more later that night. This baby moves in spurts as in some days I feel it and some it's very quiet. I could actually tell the difference this time where the movements changed from a flutter to actual feet or hands knocking on me. As a matter of fact, I just felt him or her tap me. Apparently the baby likes lots of room to move and if it feels too cramped I get a little kick or punch. I usually feel the baby very low in my stomach but I think the next favorite place is right behind my belly button. At any rate, hopefully we'll find out something soon. I am in constant prayer that this child will be kind, loving, intelligent, have a great personality and sense of humor (you'd have to in order to live with us) and most of all be centered on G-d from the very beginning. With all the ups and downs this baby is truly a blessing and we are very thankful that G-d has trusted us with this little precious life. We pray for wisdom and strength to train up this child to be a strong man or women of G-d and to heed the call on their life. We hope this is the start of the family that we've always wanted. We'll post pictures soon.

Gabe...I know your baby will be all the things you are praying for. That little one couldn't be more blessed than to have you and Jason as their parents. Great things are in store and it is so excting to see.
